Where the Heck Does the Time Go?
It seems there is never ever enough time for everything. Sometimes it seems there isn't any time for anything!! And doesn't something always happen when your schedule is tight already??
Last time I was able to post, I was getting ready for my first craft show ever. What can I say but that it was a bust. The weather was non-stop rain pouring all day and COLD and just too little foot traffic. No-one there did well at all. There was much grumbling and disgruntledness amongst the crafters at the end of the day.
The two booths getting the most action was the food people (the firehouse staff actually) and two women selling sprinkles and spices. Yes, their highly crafty skill was divying large bags of cooking supplies into small plastic containers. ???? Even the lady selling purses made out of empty kids juice pouches exerted some effort.
Mike and Anneliese went along for moral support and physical labor moving stuff, etc. How bored do they look!? And geeze, can't I stand still? That blur stinks!
Monday (24th) was David's 16th birthday. I managed to pull off baking him 2 pies Saturday afternoon so we could celebrate with pie (apples of course) and ice cream that evening. We still haven't had his special dinner yet things have been so wacky. Plus his grandparents are out of the country - Surinam - and weren't able to be there which stinks. Hopefully they'll be on stopover home when we get that birthday dinner done.
Basically, I've gotten very little done the last couple of weeks and it's SO frustrating. This Friday I've got to go after work to set up my space in a little holiday shop I'm participating in that opens THIS Saturday. In two weeks I have another craft show. When I am going to get anything else accomplished I just don't know. I'm finally starting to feel tired more easily being in the last month of pregnancy. It's driving me nuts. I have not being able to go at 150% full steam all the time!!
Bear with me. I'm trying to keep going up to the moment of birth, but I'm starting to wind down whether I like it or not. I can't wait to be back to normal activity levels - and get my body back too!!
Do you want to see a picture of 35 weeks? I'll have to think about it.
Oh, something exciting did come Brown last week - our rental fetal doppler! It's fun to listen to the heart beat. Right now it's just fun and for charting, but will be used during labor for us to assess how baby is handling things. I'm trying to get in the frame of mind to enjoy the labor and birth experience in the moment and not as another thing to check off of a very long list. I have such a time of being stuck in that mentality that I often miss the moment and I don't want to miss a thing with this!!
Keep me on your mind and in your hearts. I'm on the home stretch here and I don't know how often you'll hear from me before baby comes. I'll talk to you again soon though! It's been fun chatting and catching up!
So, what have you been up to?
