Let’s Play a Game of Distortion!

Apr 29th, 2005
When I got this tattoo many moons ago, I never imagined that I might be pregnant again some day. I believed I was done with that part of my life. Raise the kids, get old, move on. Well, God had other plans apparently.

So now, I get to play the game of distortion with this little ring of flowers. I can only imagine what it will look like as the months go on! I just hope it gets back to where it once belonged once baby arrives!!

1 Month pregnant, baby #4
I'm really not as poochy as this Month One picture kind of looks. I'm just standing in a weird way because I'm taking the picture myself!!

This should be interesting….

Dig if you will Part VI - Ready for Felting

Apr 24th, 2005

A Continuation of:  Dig if you will a picture… / Dig if you will Part II / Dig if you will Part III / Dig if you will Part IV / Dig if you will Part V

Prince is fully knitted up - immortalized in wool as Rachel would say - and ready to be felted!

Now, if he doesn't come out looking like either Fat Albert or Jimmy from Good Times (Dyno - MITE!) then I will have done at least part of my job well!

Who’s got the Clap? I do! I do!

Apr 22nd, 2005
Yep - she's baaaacckkk! I got some pictures taken yesterday and today. I'm going to restrain myself from sharing all of them at once, as it may be a minute before I get more taken!! Over the next few days, we'll be continuing the Prince saga, sharing pics of the newest project underway, and I have something very special for Mother's Day coming up. It will absolutely warm the cockles of your heart.

For today, I have to show you that like everyone else (yaaawwwwwnnnn) I too have made Clapotis from Knitty. I have never been altogether impressed by any of the pictures I've seen, so rather than spend perfectly good money on fancy pants yarn, or spend time spinning something special, I made mine from leftovers from the twins baby blankets. The colors are a little weird in my opinion, but when I gutted it out and wore it out one day, I got compliment after compliment!

That seems to be the way it goes - the less I like something, the better it sells and/or the more compliments I get on it. Does that mean I have bad taste? Or that the rest of you are all weird?? I like to think it's just you.

So, without further delay, Here is my Clappy: My finished Clapotis

This first on-the-rebound post would not be the same without thanking all of you for your kind posts and comments and emails about my startling and earth-shaking last couple of weeks. It has helped and encouraged. Truly. Thank you!

Tomorrow, I'll be posting a number of bee-yooooo-tee-ful new handspun yarns on eBay. Search by seller "fiber-fancies" if you are interested. They are gorgeous!

I'll also be back either tomorrow or on Sunday with the next installment of "Dig if you will a picture - Prince in felt relief".

See you then!!
