Well, the shower is getting very close now. It's THIS Saturday! I've finished a hat/mitten/sock set for each baby, and the lolli-hats for both. I'm nearly done with 1 of the blankets. Boy will I be glad to have it all finished though!
Last night we put together the guest favors - Two Peas in a Pod Bath Bombs! I wasn't able to find the right color of green felt for the pea shells, but I think they still turned out pretty cute. Take a look:
The "peas" are honeysuckle scented bath fizzy's that I got from this great lady on eBay - bathfizzyz is her seller name. Buy from her now - the new fee hike will probably drive the poor woman away!! (More on this rant below).
Since I had extra Paton's Classic left over, I also started another felted bag. I've got the first one felted, and the second one is ready. All I need to do is yards and yards of I-cord. I will have to take a picture of that and get it posted here too.
By the way, have you heard about the eBay seller fee hike coming into effect on February 18th??? (Watch out, rant starts here) They have made it impossible for the little guy to sell, and for most sellers to really be able to give good deals to the buyer anymore.
If you eBay, and are still interested in getting a good deal there, please sign the protest petition! http://www.petitiononline.com/ebayfee/. At the time of this posting, there are over 18 thousand signatures.
In the meantime, until or unless they come to their senses, I suppose I should thank that blasted Meg Whitman and her poor management skills. It was the kick in the pants that I needed to get started on building an online e-store of my own. I've been meaning to do it anyway, but now it's getting done! It's coming along well, and I hope to have it debugged and live by February 1st. I'll keep you posted on that front.
I found a GREAT open source shopping cart program. Please feel free to contact me if you are also an eBay refugee (or just an etailer) looking for a great program to make your break away from FeePay.
Well, that's my rant for today. The fee hike was announced more than a week ago - believe me, that was mild!
